Dynatron radiogram: model is a Windsor PHF24 comprising radio tuner, tape deck and High fidelity record player with concealed pop-out speakers.

I have pictures if you require to see them.

Manual radio tuner requires band replacing as doesn't move along scale but I know radio works fine.

Also, the automatic function of the record player causes table to stick, unsure as worked fine when went into storage.

I played a record on it last night and the sound quality is good even with the older needle still attached.

This is a lovely wooden unit and I'd keep if only I had the right room space.

I have full, original schematics that came with unit for servicing of it so repair of the mninor faults listed should be no problem.

For sale: a 3 meter bi-wire pair of ultra high-end solid silver speaker cables made by Slinkylinks of New Zealand.

The cables are 99.9999% pure silver, 3 meter length internally bi-wired cables, designed to fit bi-wired speakers i.e:

Each speaker having 2 x red and 2 x black inputs for separate hi and low frequency circuits. Each one of the 4 speaker cables has 1 x 4mm gold-plated banana plug (amplifier end) going to 2 x 4mm gold-plated banana plug (speaker end).

The cables are like-new and have actually yet to be fully burned-in. Unfortunately having to sell due to sale of high-end stereo system. The RRP for these cables is £460- bought from Walrus Systems in London.

Woofers were professionally re-coned in late 90's by Wembley Loudspeakers with non-perishable roll surround. Tweeters were replaced (from USA) approx 8yrs ago. I will be sorry to see them go, and will miss that bass that only 12" woofers can deliver, but a 'more modern look' was required for the lounge! 1. Two sets of 4 chassis mounting brackets from Leak stereo 20s. Each of the brackets is about 1" by 0.5", slightly cranked in the middle, and with a hole each end. I'll include a sample machine screw that fastens one end of each bracket to the tapped holes in the underside of the amp so you know what fits. £7 per set of 4

2. Switch cable and socket from Leak Stereo 20. This is the wire and socket that comes out of the back of the amp and plugs into the back of a Point One preamp or similar so that the Stereo 20 is switched on when the preamp is. The wire is about 4' long. £6

3. Two sets of 2 loudspeaker terminal blocks from Leak Stereo 20. These are the orignal screw terminals on the brown boards. Also included are the small screws that secure the terminals to the chassis. £5 per set of 2

I have a very rare (I'm told) 1974 WASP compact synthesizer which came from the Church Studios in Crouch End, London around the time of the Eurythmics 'split' between Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox, so this WASP may well feature on many of their now classic tracks.

It still works and is in good shape. About ten years ago I got a photocopy of the instruction manual. I've never made any use of it other than occasionally testing it to see if it's OK.

It was valued at £500 in 2002.

I'm looking for a single gold Leak TL12.1 valve amplifier, to make up a pair.

I'm looking for a replacement Mullard GZ34 valve for a Leak Stereo 20. 60s yellow print prefered, NOS if possible.

Technics RS 7500 Elcaset with 9 Sony LC-90 FeCr tapes (recorded on once only).

Have had this machine for over 20 years. Was using it regularly up to the mid 90's when a tape broke while playing. As I also had LP's and CD's I put the Elcaset away for a clean and inspect - and 12 years later still haven't got down to it! So think I may as well sell.

ELECTRONICS: am currently checking functions, and so far looks like this:

1. All meters, lights etc. working fine.

2. Playback via headphone socket or line out working fine.

3. Recording seems OK, but am unable to test fully. Have taken a feed direct from my turntable to the line in sockets on the back. Monitored this through the headphone socket on the RS 7500 and could hear the source material. However volume was faint (this was with input level at maximum). I think the signal from my turntable is so low that it hardly registers – the VU meters hardly flickered. As I have no equipment/hifi units to work with I cannot test any further.

TRANSPORT MECHANISM: Some small issues here.

1. ‘Rewind’ works fine, and is really quiet.

2. ‘Fast forward’ works, but there is a ‘whirring’ noise when you run it.

3. ‘Play’ starts but then frequently stops. I have managed to get it to run non-stop by keeping the Play button depressed till the first ‘click’(indicating it wants to stop) is heard. After this you can release the Play button and it runs fine thereafter.

I have run ‘Rewind’ and ‘Fast Forward’ with a tape in, and have also had a tape in whilst checking ‘Play’, but as I do not want to run the risk of another tape breaking the ‘Play’ test was only done a couple of times.

I have absolutely no experience in diagnosing or maintaining faults in this machine, but my feeling is that there may be a problem with a drive belt.

Other than the above: the fascia is in pretty good nick. The one owner before me had it rack mounted, so there are some small marks where the bolts were placed and tightened.

There is an area of a few square inches on top of the main body of the machine where there is something that looks like rust. However as the machine has only ever been inside I am at a loss as to how this could be.

One of the ‘line out’ connectors at the rear of the machine is loose (but functions fine).

It was always said of these machines that it was unlikely for anything major to fail (they were so well built). That seems to be the case here. Just needs someone with some expertise to tweak, clean and adjust to get everything back to working 100%. Again – just my opinion.

On Ebay an RS 7500 recently sold for £515. I think it would be reasonable to be looking for at least 50% of that price (which would include the 9 tapes) The machine is located in Brighton. Could maybe meet up in Tonbridge on the 14th. if you were really interested.
