SME MK 1 PARTS / BITS - WANTED. Hi, I have an early SME 12 which a need a couple of parts for - I'm after either a whole MK 1 signal lead or just the bottom 4 strip 'blade' type connector. Also I'm looking for the earthing arms that bend outwards and hold the screening can in place. The MK 1 arms aren't totally straight like the MK2 - they are angled at the end and stop the can reaching all the way up. Please check your spares boxes as I'm sure there are some of these floating around out there as unused or needed parts.

I'm looking for a Croft super micro preamplifier, in good conditions and unmodified.

I have one pair of original 1969 Kef Cresters. They sound as you would expect being a direct relative of the Ls3/5a,(the only difference being that the cabinet is about an inch wider.

It is quite plain to see that these units have been looked after like museum peices. It is no overstatement to say they are in perfect condition, as they were when issued with the Kef inspectors ticket, which is still displayed on the face of the cabinet forty years later. I bought them to produce some vocal orientated music when i could not find any Ls3/5a's in my price range. Needless to say, they did the job with no problem at all and are now safely wrapped up to preserve them for the next lucky owner. Please call or email for friendly chats or demo's. Due to size and lack of use, I am reluctantly forced to sell the pair. They are in Teak veneer, good condition, and have the 50W Built-in amps at the rear of each speaker (have never tried them, but assume they work!). WARNING though! Unfortunately, one of the bass units was faulty when I acquired them, and although I still have the unit - which I think needs a re-build as it physically looks in good order - Spendor don't have any spares now. As I would like to sell them in good working order, if anyone has a unit to sell then I would be interested, but if someone is interested in buying them as they stand, then I would be prepared to consider any good, reasonable offer.

Dynatron ‘HFC 206’. It has a Garrard SP-25 mk IV turntable; a CR102-D cassette recorder, and a 1275A series stereo tuner. It stands a couple of feet high, looking like a deep table, with two-part hinged lids. Slender legs at each corner. Speakers of same height, all in dark wood finish.

It’s in pretty reasonable condition externally. It powers up ok, and transmits from needle to speakers – but the turntable doesn’t revolve, nor does the cassette recorder turn. I’ve not had it connected to an aerial to see if the tuner will receive – it does emit white noise when selected.

Early 1970s Philips N2214 Automatic Cassette Recorder. In good nick physically given its age but the playing mechanism is having a few issues although it was working until quite recently. Plays for a few seconds then slows down and says it's at the end of the tape. Anyway, make me an offer, don't want to ditch it as it has a lot of sentimal value. Taped nearly every So It Goes and Rock Goes to College off the tv with it.
